Refugees & Renegades (R&R) is a tight-knit raiding kinship that has been around since 2009. We are a group of friends that have been gaming together for years. Our mission is to complete end-game content in a relaxed yet focused environment, and we look for highly skilled players who share a similar mindset. A team-oriented, no drama, chilled and fun atmosphere is what we have. A good analogy is we are a Merry Band of Misfits enjoying gaming with all.
The R&R membership roster spans the globe, with higher activity times during US and Australian prime times. We ask that our members endeavour to be active, at least once or twice each week. In order to maintain our team-oriented dynamic, fun and extremely low roster turnover (read: no drama), our recruitment process is informal but can take some time. We do our best to ensure we find the absolute best fits for our kin. Whether you’re already an experienced raider or a less experienced but highly skilled player looking to get more involved with endgame content, if this sounds like the kind of environment you’d like please feel free to inquire about recruitment.

A note on the history of Refugees & Renegades
When Middle Earth was young and LOTRO undergoing Alpha/Beta testing, a group of friends formed a kin called Firefighters on the Elendilmir server. Over the years as Middle Earth grew, so did the kin, with an influx of new warriors, who took the mantle of retiring veterans. Eventually, the kin was renamed Vanguard. As Middle Earth progressed thru the ages, 12-person raids passed in to legend. Veteran warriors (some from other Kins and even from the opposing faction) joined the ranks to fight the hordes in the Ettenmoors. In time the fight moved to the Brandywine server, where warriors were desperately needed. The kin joined forces with its numerous allies and, as one, moved to reinforce Brandywine. The combined reinforcement was named Refugees and Renegades. As the years continue to wash over Middle Earth, these brave warriors continue the fight…
